* Water Polo Canada (WPC) and Ontario Water Polo (OWP) fees are typically yearly, one-time fees required by the governing bodies for Water Polo. If your player also plays for an older age group you may be asked to pay the additional fee later in the year.
**Jr Kraken 10U fees: $350/session with 2 Sessions: Fall session runs Sept-Dec and Winter session runs Jan-Apr
***1) Any player registering with Kraken at an age group where we don’t have a team, and aren’t directly involved with another team, would register at 25% discount from the stated membership fees.
***2) Any player that coaches (not a volunteer and where there is availability and skill match) at least once a week would register at a 25% discount from the stated membership fees.
Yearly club fees include both membership and the seeding of your tournament account for all forms of competition including tournaments, league days and National Competitive League (NCL) fees. Note that personal cost of travel, accommodation, food and incidentals are not included in any fees collected.
Under normal circumstances, it is important to note that the fees for competition are an estimate only. Actual competition fees will vary with some families receiving a refund and others being required to pay additional costs depending on the number of competitions their athlete participates in. This includes playing up for an older team.
Please familiarize yourself with the Tournament account page for additional information on how tournament fees are managed.
If you require financial assistance please see our Fee Assistance program on our website: https://kwwaterpolo.com/Pages/2274/Fee_Assistance_Programs/
Payment Methods:
This can be a bit confusing as there are two payment methods required. The Water Polo Canada (WPC) and Ontario Water Polo (OWP) fees are paid via credit card through the RAMP registration system. These are yearly, one-time fees required by the governing bodies for Water Polo. As per previous years, there are two payment options for club fees; we do not accept credit cards for club fee payment:
Payment Schedule:
WPC / OWP fee payment are due at the beginning of the season and are a one-time yearly payment. There are no refunds for partial year memberships.
For club fees, as per previous years there are two pre-defined payment schedules. If you are interested in a different payment schedule we are happy to work with you to define a mutually agreeable plan. Please reach out to treasurer@kwwaterpolo.com and let us know how we can help accommodate!
As we are a volunteer run organization, throughout the season members must fulfill their Volunteer & Bingo commitments as outlined on the Volunteering Page.
Registrations may be accepted after October 1st, but for liability reasons, members of the 2024-2025 season and new members cannot attend sessions until your registration has been completed and accepted.
Athletes, Coaches and Referees are all required to register.
To register, follow these steps:
3. We will not be collecting post dated cheques this year. Please see our Volunteer Program which outlines the required volunteer points you need to achieve throughout the season. If you have not met the Minimum Points Requirement by season end (Aug 31st), you will be charged $50 per point missing, and $250 should bingo not be completed.
T-Shirts (even the free ones) need to be ordered through the site; to get your free shirt use the codeKraken2024. Due to the cost of maintaining a store year-round, we only offer the store in the fall and we do not carry stock of t-shirts so we will get delivered only what is ordered. We often have some available at our Winter Classic tournament in December, but we may not have all sizes, so be sure to order your athlete a T-Shirt!
